SB Nation BlogPoll College Football Top 25 Rankings »
* Utah is the only team in my top nine that lost last week, and it was beaten by third-ranked TCU, who's now second on the ballot. I'm more than convinced after that mugging by the Horned Frogs that Oregon and TCU are the two best teams in the country. Oregon has an irresistible offense and TCU has an immovable defense. They really should be 1 and 1A and play for the national championship.
* I've gotten my share of grief for refusing to move Alabama into the top 10 after its loss to South Carolina. Well, I guess I wasn't too far off the mark there. The same goes for Oklahoma.
* There are only 13 unbeaten or one-loss teams left, and that number is certain to dwindle by two as Boise State still has to play Nevada and Nebraska and Oklahoma State will face each other if they win out in the regular season. Of those 11 remaining, as many as eight could be headed to BCS bowls. But so far, no one has clinched anything yet.
* Other teams considered this week: Miami, Air Force, Kansas State, Florida.

Does strength of schedule not come into play at all in your voting? Auburn has 4 wins against your top 25, while the 3 teams ahead of them have 3 combined. You have them beating your #6, #16, #20, and #25 teams. I'm sorry, but I think that shows you a lot more about a team than how badly they beat mediocre teams.
Excellent to read about the Blog Poll top 25, which is useful to know and also the information is good also.

Why did anyone think Utah was good again? Because they beat a 5-4 Pitt in overtime at home?
