Sorry about the extended hiatus. While it's typical of the Guru to take a few days off immediately after the regular season, this was a bit ridiculous.
Now that the Guru has returned, with batteries re-charged, here's the agenda between now and the end of the bowl season:
* Working Toward a More Sensible BCS - This is the promised big offering, a three-part series that will examine the BCS formula, the qualification process and the entire structure of the BCS.
* 2008 Bowl Grid - With 34 bowl games going on, somebody's gotta keep score. The Guru has volunteered to break down the bowl season performances by conference.
* Guest Contributions - A few of the Guru's most loyal readers have provided their own insights and analyses. They will be published here as we broaden the discussion about the BCS in particular and college football in general.
* Ten Years of BCS - I know, it's going on 11 now. The series, with entries for the 2005, 2006 and 2007 seasons, will be completed by January.
So thank you for your patience. The Guru will make sure you'll have plenty of reading material for the holidays!
