The loser would have had their chance already.

At the very least you would expect the national champion to be have been able to win their conference, or at least their division.Dougnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6331918571067993675.post-31741105558863138072011-10-23T17:53:54.404-07:002011-10-23T17:53:54.404-07:00Wow...big WHIFF! after 3...Wow...big WHIFF! after 3...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6331918571067993675.post-9354053947760247002011-10-23T13:48:25.799-07:002011-10-23T13:48:25.799-07:00As I see the numbers playing out, you're right...As I see the numbers playing out, you're right on LSU-Bama-Ok. If any of those teams go undefeated and win their conference they would most certainly be a better fit in the championship game than a 1 loss SEC team.ksu-catnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6331918571067993675.post-92070114960458948152011-10-23T09:00:51.047-07:002011-10-23T09:00:51.047-07:00An undefeated AQ conference school has never misse...An undefeated AQ conference school has never missed the BCS title game in a year where there were two or fewer such teams. I don't think Kansas State will win out, but they'd almost certainly jump Boise if they did (certainly in the computers, voters less certain)Davenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6331918571067993675.post-15771517245403724492011-10-23T07:18:48.715-07:002011-10-23T07:18:48.715-07:00I liked the article, but I agree with Chad. I agree that their odds of winning out are VERY slim, but if they do, they will have played virtually the same schedule as OK and OSU, both of whom had very realistic hopes for the Title Game.

My question is, "why do the computers like Oklahoma State so much? And SEC teams so much less?"Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6331918571067993675.post-64652491822775673942011-10-23T06:54:56.642-07:002011-10-23T06:54:56.642-07:00Why exclude K-State? It might be a tall order to go undefeated, but I think they have a better shot of that than Boise making it in, even if they go undefeated.Chadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14736358511061426975noreply@blogger.com
